Our snow up here in the arctic only gets heavy and wet during spring meltoff. Doesn’t make it any less fun.

@StuckFuck i mean, the colour of the day every day that the commie liberal fucks are in charge here is obviously pinko. My consideration is that it’s much easier to get out of this socialist shithole when it’s time (it’s time now, I think) if I DON’T wind up with a criminal record and tens of thousands of dollars being stolen by the state.
We still have snow and ice around, but it’s softening up as everything melts. I stopped to smoke up at the dog park, and ended up digging a set of 6 inch deep holes in the ice cover on the parking lot trying to get out of there.
I’m waiting for a legal opinion about what I can and can’t get away with putting in a video under Canada’s new “Online Harms Reduction Act.” So this is just a straight up exterior POV stuck video, featuring me having to dig out for once instead of having the Pathfinder bust itself out, as happens way too often.
Buried in the dog park parking lot- actually stuck, had to dig. – 04:10

Kinda feels like I discovered a secret channel. Dude has about 50 videos up, mostly off-roading and mudding. Not a lot of views. This video, looks like the SUV is in the pit pretty good..

@SD78QSK truth, man. It’s nice to have easy-to-use computerized systems until a sensor craps itself. Then it’s fun, whatever way it’s perceived
A little something from my own adventures today. I’m back in business on the video side, time permitting. Today I just couldn’t go past a hill or ramp without testing out the tires…

@Bootonthepedal-0 Nah, not really. There was a moment when the old dude was trying to pull me out where I was kind of concerned that getting out might have meant leaving the Pathfinder behind til it all dried out but there was never any real desperation. I have a co-worker who can’t be bothered showing up on time and stiffed me for 1/2hr that morning, so when I was that stuck like that 10 minutes before I was supposed to take over the airspace, there was a certain satisfaction and a little excitement. Probably the worst I’ve been stuck since I started filming it
@spinem4u Not right away, didn’t have enough time. Once I was alone at work for the night tho, yes, a few times
Didn’t turn off 4 wheel drive, no, but the rear differential doesn’t lock, I need to get that fixed. Not that it would have helped here; the fronts were locked and it just kept sinking.
I was on the way to work and randomly decided to go for a rip through the pond loop at the main Highways gravel pit just outside village limits. I’d been through this spot a few times over the preceding days, came close to bogging but close only counts in horse shoes and hand grenades. This time, not so much. Most of the water had evaporated off and left a sticky mess of clay and sand; I hit it with power and as I roared through the center of the pit, the rear end slid sideways and sank onto the spare tire.
It took a diesel Ram 1-ton yanking repeatedly to get me moving again. My only regret is that he showed up so quickly, I only had time to get the one clip. Enjoy!
Oopsie. Little stuck 😂 – 01:43

@stuckadam it’s a different story if one has a couple vehicles, one for daily driving and one for fun. Then it’s not such an issue, but over here it seems like not a lot of people can actually afford the added expense to own more than one vehicle unless they have multiple incomes in the household. I’m not sure what it’s like in Europe but on the North American continent imports are pricey as fuck; for example, new brakes and suspension cost me $5500 on my Nissan (blue book value in top condition $11,000) and if I need to replace a transmission it’s $5100 for a new one-not including shipping (6weeks) or installation. Breaking a differentials, or timing chains, or a radiator seal, all expensive ways to not have a ride OR any disposable income for a few weeks.
I’ll also add, anyone who has ever experienced intense cold knows- risk of stuff breaking increases almost exponentially for every degree below -20C. Not everyone sees those temps, granted, but my ability to make content in that is greatly reduced and not worth the financial disaster brought on by needing: $500/hr offroad recovery in the backcountry, months of storage fees while waiting for parts shipments to clear customs, labour for a mechanic to help out when they arrive, and the cost of another ride to get through while waiting.
…I wish I had one of those riding along, but it seems I live 6000 miles from anyone who’d be interested. I’d love to turn over the drivers seat to someone who just got their license and see how bad they could get us stuck. Inexperience is hot, there’s something about knowing that the driver-especially a younger one- might not know how to get themselves out of a situation that makes it that much more exciting. There was a Youtube video a few years ago by a couple of frat boy-bro types in Edmonton, AB, Canada, where they got their tricked out Subaru WRX stuck in some powdered snow in a warehouse parking lot, with summer tires on, and had no clue what they were doing, just kept burning their tires going nowhere for 15 mins.
The only problem and the difference between random city stucks and off-road stucks is that in the random city stucks there tends to be a bit more of a real-life audience. Most people will leave you alone and let you have your fun but there’s always a prude somewhere who feels it’s their mission to stop everyone from enjoying life.
It’s warming up, supposed to snow a little more, so it was the perfect opportunity to get out for a cruise.

Kinda digging this channel. Just a bunch of dudes playing in the mud and dirt.
@spintire Thank you. A lot of it was inspired by the first few videos you did, and it’s just too much fun.
