I love it best a few days after a deep, wet snow when it gets packed down and icy. You can get stuck for hours.

Here in the U.K. in rural events and parks and woodlands it’s very common

We do, but not as often and for some reason it's rarely muddy enough. You seem to have better conditions for it.
