I don't think I saw it on TV. I think I tripped across it by accident several years ago.
Being stuck in the mud will make an impression on many levels.
Another movie with a favorite scene of mine is Contamination 07. It’s a horror B-movie where people are attacked by these creature with vine/root-like tendrils
The scene that caught my eye was this guy driving off road in his old-model car. He drove into a muddy area and got stuck, and no matter how much he revved his engine and shifted gears, he couldn’t break free. Worse still, the roots found him and started wrapping around the car, pulling it deeper into the mud. One of the roots actually slid into the car’s tailpipe and up its exhaust (probably trying to force the car to shut off, idk ️). He was struggling for a bit, but finally broke free from the mud and the roots at the last minute
A YouTuber actually recorded that scene and many other stuck/pedalpumping scenes from movies, but was deleted recently
Here is the link for the full movie, the stuck starts at 1:05:13

It is a really really hot scene in my oppinion. First, the car is very cute, then the way he tries to drive out, revving, then a bit spinning, then nervous gear shifting, but the wheels are only spinning
If I would be controlling the roots, I would only hold on to the car so he is struggling as long as possible. Maybe playing with him a bit, letting go for an inch or two, then pulling the car back, while he is flooring... It would have been also awesome to stall the engine through the tail pipe, I am sure that car has an awesome cranking sound
@slippingsliding Ikr? That would’ve been awesome if it stalled out
It might’ve been what the tendrils were going for; after they wrapped around his car and started probing its tailpipe, the engine started sounding rough like it was about to cut off
@xavier-b Then he would try to rev up the car nervously, playing against the odds, but at the end it would stall on him Poor poor guy
