The Lost World: Jurassic Park scene
-
The very first thing that turned me on to mudding was a scene from Jurassic Park’s sequel.
A dinosaur attacked this trailer, and it was about to plunge off a cliff—with the main characters in it. It was raining in that scene, so it was very muddy, and they were working on borrowed time. A character named Eddie decided to try to save the trailer and those people tying the trailer to his truck (the people were hanging on a separate rope tied to a tree, so even if Eddie failed to save the trailer, the people inside would still be saved).
Eddie got into his truck, put it in reverse, and started revving it to the floor to pull the trailer to safety. He made a portion of progress, but because the trailer was so much bigger than the truck AND the ground was very muddy, he ended up digging ruts with his tires. By the time other dinosaurs made it to Eddie’s truck, it was most likely stuck (his tires were spinning in the mud, but the truck wasn’t moving at all...but the trailer wasn’t pulling on him either). He tried to fight off the dinos while simultaneously revving on his engine, but failed and got eaten. The trailer and his truck fell into the pit below, but the people were saved
Technically, he wasn’t stuck, but the muddy tire spinning and revving was still pretty hot

I used to love this scene as well. Still do was one of the 1st stuck scenes I remeber.
