@HardStuck Great story! We can almost see it. What color is Bone-Dawg? Are wide tires designed for better traction or better handling? They don't seem to do anything for traction in some situations (which is probably just as well, right?) But in some situations, they definitely improve handling (if you know what I mean 
).
When my old car needs replacing, you guys have me seriously considering trying to find a pickup like Bone-Dawg!
Thanks for sharing! How fortunate that you had a camera with you to record the experience-- or is that to be expected now with any smart phone? (I'm getting too old to learn these new tricks, not to mention too cheap and too concerned for privacy to pay for one and carry it around all the time.)
No, there were incidents of our car stuck in the driveway before then. The garage was behind the house and the dirt driveway led to the street further behind still. Of course everything seems bigger to a child, but my memory is that it must have been almost a hundred feet long with a curve near the garage.
Shoveling it out well in the winter (upper midwest) would be a huge chore, so mom and dad must have done no more than they thought was necessary, leaving plenty of opportunties to get stuck.

Does that ever happen in a car or truck?
When I was a little tyke, we lived at the edge of town, with houses sparse and surrounded with big yards (if you can call them that-- there were also plenty of trees and even small swamps). To the south of our home lived two teenage boys who had motorcycles. There was a rather steep hill to the east of their yard, and in the winter they would spend hours attempting to drive them to the top of the hill. They didn't often succeed. I recall watching them. It must have been a formative experience.

We read with dismay that this venerable channel, among thousands of others, has just been "demonetized" . Why? Youtube has certainly embarked on a self-destructive path recently. Can't boards of directors of major corporations vet executive candidates more carefully for suicidal tendencies? All a competitor needs to do is improve its searching capabilities and Youtube could soon be toast.

I've never heard an accent quite like his. Australian, New Zealander? Does anyone recognize it more specifically? He has said that he needs a cameraman. The honor of serving in that capacity would almost be worth the trip to wherever. Also, for a guy who says he enjoys getting stuck, he's not having nearly as much fun as he could. Someone needs to coach him on shift and pedal technique to get it rockin'
@Thommo Oh, how I wish I could have had the run of a farm with a vehicle at a young age (or any age). What kind of truck was this, a pickup or something larger? The first time it affected you, were you in the truck or just watching outside? How old were you when you started driving, and how did you make sure to get into enough mud to have fun but not stuck so badly that you couldn't get out on your own?
Two questions here:
(1) When did you become a stuck lover (or become aware of it)?
(2) When did you realize that you weren't the only one in the world?
I was definitely one by first grade of school. But for years I didn't know there was anyone else with this interest and felt like a weirdo. Finding that I wasn't quite unique required the Internet. It must have been only fifteen years ago at the most that I stumbled onto Carstuck Girls. The girls didn't interest me much, but of course the stuck scenes did. Before long I found Stuckworld and it was great finally being able to talk about it with others.
