@MudMate
I think most modern cars would be super bad in mud anyway
He wouldn’t get far
I would like that.
@SlippingSliding yes I love that, especially in a small FWD car.
While waiting at the barber shop yesterday, about 10 a.m., on the television was a show comparing experienced and inexperienced drivers of big rigs in Alaska in winter time. One of them (presumably an inexperienced guy) found himself going too fast downhill on an icy road. So he steered into a snowbank on the shoulder and eventually came to a halt, whereupon of course he was stuck. I should have tried to find out what the channel was. Does this program ring a bell with anyone?
@stuckboy to be honest, kinda? RWD is a lot easier to get stuck in total fairness from what I've heard (still fighting a few issues including an avoidance disorder around my kinks, fun times) but a FWD allows for far more fun, desperately turning the wheel to get traction, splattering the hood and windscreen with mud etc
About time I actually started chatting on here again in fairness, just had a lot going on for the last year or so
Driving on roads I've decent experience with; driving off roads or on anything muddy like fields, far less so. Definitely a scenario I want to toy with, taking a wrong turn and getting stuck somewhere (I have got some small folding mud boards now for whenever I feel comfortable enough trying out this stuff again and can afford to rent a car; just gotta make sure it goes back clean )
@Blackadder261 That's exactly what I love about my FWD Ford. I love getting stuck barefoot.
@barefootcarstuck indeed! In fairness, RWD rentals are hard to find in the UK and given I'm not 23 till next week, let alone 25, most are firmly off-limits to me.
If I rent, it'll be from a large corporate firm like Europcar instead of private rental like Turo; not about to muddy up someone's car when I can use a fleet rental instead .
@Blackadder261 .. and again and again forwards forwards .. more and more again and again
It is nice to be that driver in the wrong vehicle for the situation and stuck. Oh, I shouldnt be driving back here. I might get stuck. what was I thinking. What will I do if i get stuck?
That moment of fear when the tires start spinning
That feeling, dressed nice, not the right vehicle for the situation
